Scope of Work by Stratch Australia:

Design, Fabrication, Supply, Erection and Commissioning of Hangar for Wide Bodied Aircraft
This work included:

  • Design of a new 80m x 80m x 28m High structural steel Hangar 
  • Fabrication of steel work and delivery to site of all materials
  • Erection of the steel Skeleton
  • Masonry and Sheet Cladding of the Hangar and external doors
Scope of Work by Gibb Africa:
Construction of Civil and Services Works
This work included:
  • Foundation work to receive a prefabricated steel hangar overall size 80m x 80m x 28m high. 
  • Construction of 2 storey offices/workshops on either sides of hangar (80m x 9m each)
  • Paved Access Roads
  • Construction of a Storm Water and Foul drainage Systems
  • Electrical and Mechanical Services Reticulation
  • Construction of a concrete water tank (1700m3)
  • Construction of an Electrical and Mechanical Services Building
  • Supply and Installation of Electrical Services.
  • Supply and Installation of a Standby diesel Generator (800KVA)
  • Supply and Installation of the Fire Detection and Suppression system
  • Supply and Installation of a Compressed Air System
  • Supply and Installation of a plumbing and drainage system
  • Supply and Installation of an Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation System.
  • Supply and Installation of 2 No. 15 ton and 1 No. 5 ton Overhead Cranes.
  • Rehabilitation of an Existing 110m x 60m aircraft parking and maintenance Apron
